Pediatric nursing care can reduce the duration of a hospital stay and allow your child to return to the comforts of home sooner. This provides a higher quality of life for you, your child and the entire family. Our pediatric services are patient centered, and we keep the goals of your family in mind when customizing a holistic plan of care to meet all of your child’s needs. Your Hi-Pointe case manager will coordinate care with your pediatrician, hospital discharge planners and other medical professionals to ensure continuity of care and a more relaxed time of healing for the entire family.
At Hi-Pointe, we approach caring for each child as if we were caring for our own children. Our experienced, licensed nurses work closely with each family to develop an environment that not only nourishes the physical and mental development of each child, but also supports the entire family. The Hi-Pointe care team is trained to attend to the special needs of children and recognize changes or complications should they develop. Our collaborative care program allows the various providers attending to a child to notify each other if changes should occur and immediately contact pediatricians, medical social workers or other health care providers to initiate timely interventions. This prevents a child from facing many of the problems associated with a deteriorating condition that has been left untreated.
If a parent needs some time away from a medically fragile child to attend to errands, work outside of the home, manage personal needs or spend time with another family member, Hi-Pointe team members are always available to help. Our skilled nurses provide around the clock care when necessary, allowing parents to step away and know their child is safe. This provides peace of mind, and it reduces stress for the entire family.
Hi-Pointe intake specialists are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through our unique One Call system. Just make one call to 703-544-2644 and the assessment process begins. Each assessment includes a complimentary in-home evaluation so we can meet your family, discuss your child’s needs and create a customized plan of care. Our collaborative services can include speech, occupational or physical therapy, skilled nursing care and in-home caregivers to assist with activities of daily living, transportation, housekeeping tasks and ambulation. All of our services are confidential in nature, and patient privacy is a top priority for our entire team.
